60 countries and 13 international organizations have confirmed their participation in EXPO-2017 International Specialized Exhibition in Astana

18.12.2015  Austria has confirmed its participation in EXPO-2017. It is the 60th country in succession, which officially has announced its participation in the international exhibition.

This decision was taken at the meeting of the Government of Austria and the Republic of Austria sent an official note to the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Vienna.

According to Federal Minister of Science, Research and Economy Reinhold Mitterlehner Austrian companies will be able to present technological innovations at the exhibition in the field of renewable energy, energy efficiency and technologies in the field of environmental protection.

Austrian side also informs that participation in the exhibition will cost 4.8 million euro to Austria, three-quarter of costs will be incurred by the Ministry of Economy and one-quarter by the Austrian Economic Chamber.

It will be recalled that EXPO-2017 International Specialized Exhibition will be held under the title of “Future Energy”. Sub-themes of which are: reduction of carbon dioxide emissions. Environmental objective: protection of environment and promotion of trends that lead to environmental improvement; Energy saving. Economic objective: development of energy efficiency and rational use of energy; Energy for all. Social objective: access to energy as one of basic components of human needs and rights.

As of today, 60 countries and 13 international organizations have confirmed their participation in “Astana EXPO-2017” international exhibition.
