«Future Energy» Forum shall significantly affect innovations development», – V.Loscertales

“Future Energy” Forum about “Combating climate change and future energy”, organized by “Astana EXPO-2017” National Company together with Nazarbayev University, took place in Paris. It was the second event in the series of international conferences, carried out before EXPO-2017.

Secretary General of International Exhibitions Bureau (IEB) Vincente Loscertales rendered a key report. «Future Energy» as the main topic of «Astana EXPO-2017» forum shall significantly affect innovations formation, development and cooperation throughout all energy issues», - IEB Secretary General said.

Minister of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Vladimir Shkolnik, while opening “Future Energy” Forum in Paris, pointed out that now is the best time to discuss global relation to energy.

«We realize the role of energy in the process of development. However, carbon dioxide emissions while mineral fuel burning result in climate change. It endangers the safety of hundred millions people around the world, causing damage to the most important basis of local, national and global stability», - Minister of Energy pointed out.

According to V.Shkolnik, Kazakhstan chose «Future Energy» as the main topic of International Specialized Exhibition «EXPO-2017» in Astana in order to help world community to join forces to take countermeasures for global energy problems solving.

The Forum, carried out during UN Climatic Conference (COP21), joined experts in energy field, politician, heads of enterprises and transnational companies, largest international organizations as well as Nobel laureates and other distinguished scholars and economists. They shared “first hand” information about the last developments in the field of sustainable energy.

Participants` conclusions and recommendations shall be included into the main “Future energy” forum program, which will take place within the framework of international specialized exhibition in 2017, as well as flagship pavilion «Astana EXPO-2017». The Forum will be one of the main peculiarities of «Astana EXPO-2017» and last during entire event. It will become a place for discussions, conferences as well as symposiums, thematic weeks and seminars in technologies, politics, innovative strategies, specific energy projects and best practices. Energy revolution, low-carbon technologies, renewable sources of process solutions, provision of universal access to energy and energy efficiency in towns will enter discussion list.

The first international Forum «Future energy: reduction of СО2 emissions» took place in October 2014 in Astana. It marked the beginning of research project about «Future energy» and its subtopics: reduction of greenhouse gasses emissions, implementation of energy-saving technologies and provision of global access to sustainable energy. Over 500 leading experts in energy field, Scientifics, heads of non-governmental organizations, representatives of public sector took part in the event.
