The events dedicated to Thanksgiving Day
Since March 1, 2017, the events dedicated to Thanksgiving Day have been held in the secondary school № 8. On February 25 on the first floor of the school there was a stand on this topic. Among the 9-11 grades there was a contest of compositions on the theme: "Altysymdy aytamyn!", The best works were marked with letters of commendation. Also, a readers' contest was organized and held, attended by the invited mother of our school graduate Samata Shokhanova, a senior police lieutenant who died in the city of Astana while trying to apprehend criminals. In the performance of the participants of the contest, poems of Kazakhstani authors were voiced, in which words of gratitude were expressed to their homeland, the parents of the deceased heroes of Kazakhstan. The Grand Prix of the competition went to a student of 5B class Әbdіylym Kalymbetov. The organizer of the contest was the teacher of Kazakh language and literature N.Abilova who informed that the Thanksgiving holiday was approved by the President's Decree on March 1 and expressed confidence that such events will be held systematically and become a tradition in our country. She also expressed gratitude to the guests of the evening and the participants of the contest.
With the purpose of acquaintance with the history and culture of the city, the students of the cadet classes, along with the class teacher, Y.Erimbetov. And teacher Shablenova MB. Visited the urban German center "Vozrozhdenie". During the visit, the students got acquainted with the history of the German people during the department's period, viewed museum materials, preserved documents, yellowed pages of which speak of difficult times that fell to the lot of representatives of different nationalities. The members of the German center expressed deep gratitude to all the Kazakh people who helped and supported the Germans and other nationalities in the years of severe repression, and this feeling they transmit to their descendants today. During the meeting, the students were shown a video about this period of life of the German people. In addition, in all classes were held thematic class hours devoted to Thanksgiving. During all the days timed to this day, the pupils and teachers of the school expressed their gratitude to each other not only during the change, but also during the rest of the time. The main value of the events held on Thanksgiving Day is the realization of the moral and spiritual education of youth, the involvement of schoolchildren in stability and mutual agreement, the education of humanism in interpersonal relations.
