Distance Olympian in the Kazakh and Russian literature "PedStart" is aimed at developing and supporting the use of information and communication technologies in professional activities, increasing the desire to achieve high results in teaching.

Tasks of the Olympiad:

 - assessment of the quality of teacher training in the field of Kazakh and Russian literature;

- increasing the role of literature in the educational process; - development of abilities to independently acquire knowledge, abilities, skills, intuition;

- accelerating the transition from learning to self-learning; - creation of conditions for the intellectual and creative development of participants in the Olympiad.

- to promote the formation of the information culture of teachers, to improve their professional level and pedagogical skills;

- actualize the need to introduce computer information technologies;

- contribute to the improvement of the educational process through a combination of traditional and computer-based teaching methods.
