In 1994 the European branch of the MOES (The international solar energy society) decided that people need a holiday that would remind them not only of the importance of the Sun in everyone's life, but also how to use this harmless source of renewable energy! The holiday is celebrated annually around the world on may 3. The celebration of the day of the Sun promotes the exchange of experience between different cities and countries, the dissemination and popularization of important information.
Primary school students read poems and sang songs. The middle link took part in the exhibition "My books about the Sun". High school students wrote essays on the theme "a Star named the Sun»
