REMINDER FOR PARENTS  SAFE VACATIONS!

Dear Parents!

Summer is coming - a wonderful time in the life of children, a time of sun, relaxation and fun. But we must remember that summer is also, unfortunately, the time of greatest danger to their life and health. The task of adults is to ensure the full safety of children and adolescents during the summer holidays. With the beginning of the holidays, children face an increased danger on the roads, near water bodies, in the forest, on playgrounds, in the garden, in the yards.

This is facilitated by the weather, summer trips and the curiosity of children, the availability of free time, and most importantly the lack of proper supervision from adults.

In order for children to come to school rested and healthy in the fall, it is necessary to remember a number of rules and conditions when organizing their holidays with their parents, relatives, friends (in the country or in the village with their grandmother):

• Build children's personal safety skills;

• Have one-to-one conversations with the children explaining important rules that will help save lives.

• solve the problem of children's free time;

• Remember! Late in the evening and at night (from 10 pm to 6 am local time), children and adolescents are legally prohibited from appearing on the street without an adult escort;

• be constantly aware of where and with whom your child is, control the place of stay of children;

• do not allow talking with strangers. Explain to the child that he has every right to say "no" always and to anyone if this "someone" tries to harm him;

• Explain to the children that under no circumstances should you get into a car with strangers;

• Reassure the child that no matter what happened, you should know about the incident, do not get angry at all, always take his side. Explain that some facts can never be kept secret, even if they have promised to keep them secret;

• swimming and playing on the water, apart from pleasure, pose a threat to the life and health of children. When a child is in the water, do not take your eyes off him, do not be distracted - sometimes a minute can turn into a tragedy;

• be sure to explain to the children that they should not swim alone or dive in an unfamiliar place;

• an adult who looks after bathing children should be able to swim himself, provide first aid, be familiar with the techniques of artificial respiration and chest compressions;

• in order not to become a victim or culprit in a traffic accident, remind the children of the rules of the road, teach them to be extremely careful on the road and in public transport;

• Exercise caution and follow all safety requirements when with children on the playground or sports field, on a hike;

• study with children the rules of riding bicycles, scooters, mopeds, motorcycles.

• Remember! Children under the age of 14 are prohibited from driving a bicycle on highways and equivalent roads, and children under 16 years of age are prohibited from driving a scooter (moped).

• Remind the children of the culture of behavior in public places, in nature.

Be extremely careful with fire. Draw the attention of children to the most common cases of fires due to careless fire handling:

• children's prank with fire;

• not extinguished coals, slag, ash, fires;

• not extinguished cigarette butts, matches;

• burning of garbage by owners of summer cottages and garden plots; arson of grass, short circuit, operation of electrical devices, household appliances, stoves.

Remember that children are naturally reckless and trusting. Attention in children can be scattered. Therefore, the more often you remind your child of simple rules of behavior, the more likely he will remember them and apply them. You should regularly remind them and be an example for the children.

Preserving the life and health of children is the main responsibility of adults.

Please, do everything to ensure that your children's vacation is safe, the vacation is not overshadowed by any incident.

A Safe Vacation is a Great Vacation!
