Environmental problems are global problems, which means that they affect everyone, and these problems can be solved together. Only ecologically literate people who are aware of their responsibility to their descendants and the world around them are capable of this. Therefore, environmental education and upbringing, the formation of environmental culture is becoming increasingly important.
The Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan Askhat Aimagambetov expressed his opinion on the environmental education of children.
Today we discuss a very important issue. We see that society is unanimous in the need to develop environmental education and training. Obviously, it is necessary to implement from school, maybe from kindergarten.
In general, this issue needs to be considered in the context of educational work at school. The concept of value orientation of education in schools, preschool institutions, colleges and universities is important, ”Askhat Aimagambetov believes. It is very important to organize class hours. A child must practice what he has learned in practice, only then the acquired knowledge will be meaningful, ”he stressed.
In schools of the city of Balkhash, it pays much attention environmental education and education of students. The main direction in environmental education in our city is mass work: environmental clean-ups, contests of environmental drawings, photographs, lectures, conferences, conversations, actions, flash mobs, debates.
Students of our city are participants in the urban environmental project “I love my city!”, During which the actions “Clean yard”, “Second life”, “Park in my city”, drawing contests “My favorite city!”.
On October 5, in schools of our city, class hours were held according to the topic by age groups: in grades 1-4, the topics “First steps into ecology”, “I get to know nature!” . In the secondary school the topics were considered “The Earth is our common home!”, In the high school, the topic of classroom hours allowed each student to think about what contribution he made to nature conservation and what can be done to improve the ecology "Environmental problems and solutions." The class teachers and the active class prepared the presentations and videos.
With the aim of promoting environmental activities among the population of the city, it has become a tradition to hold a competition of environmental propaganda teams and flash mobs.
Students of our city are regular participants of the charity action "We are responsible for those we have taught" to raise funds for the city shelter "Man and Pet". School volunteers collected food for the pets of the shelter.
