By order of the Minister of education and science of the Republic of Kazakhstan of January 14, 2016 No. 26 "On approval of requirements for mandatory school uniforms in institutions of secondary education" :
- School uniforms for boys: jacket with black or dark blue color, vest, pants, dress shirt, holiday shirt white, casual shirt white (in the winter: knit jacket, turtleneck white, no hat) the length of the pants for boys is wide, covering the shaft. The boys ' hair is cropped in a short pattern.
- School uniform for girls: white blouse, black or dark blue jacket, vest, classic skirt, classic shirt (for the winter period: knitted vest, sundress, turtleneck) office style skirt for girls, from the knee, 60 cm) without a headdress. The length of the pants for girls is a wide-format answer.The girls ' hair is gathered in pigtails.
- School uniforms may not include items of clothing belonging to various religious denominations, including religious attributes related to headdresses (cross, hijab, niqab, burqa, chador, yarmulke, headscarf, turban, Jewish-Kippah headdresses, burka, etc.). At parent-teacher meetings held in classrooms, parents are instructed to give a complete picture.
