Lecture for parents on the topic: "a Prank or a misdemeanor?»
The course lectures: Disobedience (prank, mischief, misconduct), negativism, stubbornness, tantrums, willfulness, rudeness, insolence, indiscipline, offence.
Disobedience is the most common form of resistance to requirements, requests, advice of teachers and parents, moral norms of social behavior in preschool and early childhood. Can act in the form of pranks, mischief, misdemeanor.
Prank-a short, episodic segment of the child's behavior, which clearly manifests its activity, initiative, ingenuity. The peculiarity of the prank is its positive tone, the experience of great pleasure from what was done and necessarily a good attitude to others.
Mischief is also an episode in the behavior of the child. And it shows imagination, initiative, activity. However, in contrast to the mischief, the mischief-maker already deliberately violates the established rules, intentionally, purposely commits actions that harm a peer or elder. The purpose of mischief is to annoy, revenge, or benefit yourself.
Misconduct is a socially dangerous phenomenon. The main difference of the offense of mischief in his repetition and advance planning. If the child repeats misdeeds repeatedly, there is every reason to talk about the emerging negative traits. Most often, misdemeanors are explained by age-related features, the inability of the child to arbitrarily suppress his momentary desires and consciously guide behavior.
Children's negativism (from lat. nego-I deny) manifests itself as an unmotivated and unreasonable resistance of the child to the influence of people around him. It is active and passive. Passive-this is one of the types of stubbornness, expressed in the refusal to perform the required action. Active-when a child performs actions that are opposite to those expected of him. For the duration of the manifestation of negativity is sustained and episodic. The first lasts long, and the second manifests itself only at times.
Stubborn - child behavior close to the negativism. This is a negative feature of behavior, expressed in unreasonable and irrational opposition to requests, advice, requirements and instructions of teachers and parents. This kind of persistent disobedience, for which there is no visible, clear motives. Stubbornness also manifests itself in the desire to continue the action begun, even when it becomes obvious that it is meaningless and does not benefit. The danger stubbornness in is, that it breeds child falsehood, and also can lead to disorder nervous system: neuroses, irritability, propensity to scandals, easy excitability. And if such manifestations go into a chronic state, then there are significant problems in education.
Whims-a feature of the child's behavior, expressed in inappropriate and unreasonable actions, actions, unjustified opposition and resistance to instructions, advice, requirements of adults, in an effort to insist on their own. Externally manifested in discontent, irritability, crying, motor overexcitation. Can be episodic, but can turn into an ordinary form of behavior.
Self-will arises as a result of the developing independence and strong-willed element in the behavior of the child, his desire to assert himself and the inability to choose adequate means for this. A common mistake of teachers and parents in overcoming children's self-will is excessive, inadequate force of their influence, as a result of which they not only suppress the will of the child, but also, achieving absolute, blind obedience, destroy in the Bud the will of the child, the ability to take initiative, independent actions.
Rudeness, audacity, disrespectful attitude to adults arise as a result of improper implementation of the child, teenager desire for adulthood, false shame to show affection, obedience. Often the causes of rudeness are incontinence, weakness, inability of the child to control himself.
Lack of discipline is particularly characteristic of boys. It can be of two types: malicious and impertinent. To neostim violations of discipline, as a rule, are mischief, prank. More dangerous are malicious violations of discipline. As a rule, they are not situational and have a recurring character.
Offences. In the conditions of social and pedagogical neglect it is possible to transfer children and adolescents to the level of criminal behavior. They are able to commit significant illegal actions, violations and even crimes - hooliganism, theft, fraud, fraud, gang raids, robberies. A particularly severe and violent crimes be part of a group. Overstepping the boundaries of what is permitted, lost control of themselves, juvenile delinquents are particularly daring. Special methods are used to prevent and combat offences.
Of course, the child's behavior may deviate from normal to a greater or lesser extent. All children have minor abnormalities. In different periods of life, children develop or lose the desire for deviant behavior. Experts even talk about the presence of sensitive, i.e. the most favorable for the occurrence of deviant behavior periods. If this is the case, the teacher must learn professionally to recognize how manifest deviations are dangerous for each student. Will the childish pranks pass without a trace with age or leave a mark for life? Will not develop if innocent prank at first in negative then in rudeness and impertinence, and ends with the offense?
With children would not have to "fight" and their education would not present any difficulties, if the attraction, desire, direction of thoughts and feelings of children always coincide with the aspirations of their teachers. It is the discrepancy between children's" want "and adults" need " makes teachers to find means to overcome the difficulties. If the teacher wants to solve the educational tasks facing him with honor and success, it is necessary to understand the origin of different types of children's disobedience and, depending on this, choose the means to overcome them.
Thus, the teacher has before him a variety of forms and levels of deviant behavior. Some are safe and soon pass, others pose a threat to proper development.
Encouragement and punishment as means of pedagogical correction of violations of behavior of younger school students
The analysis of the main types and forms of pedagogical requirement shows that both the positive group of forms of indirect requirement (request, trust, approval), and the negative (threat, expression of mistrust, condemnation) are used at every step, in such situations when there is no need to somehow distinguish a particular student from the General mass.
The use of incentives and penalties as a means of pedagogical correction should be met by the presence of a certain situation, it is characterized by a known decision of the teacher or team associated with the allocation of one of the pupils (or group) of the total mass, however, as a rule, without a sharp opposition to their change in their rights and duties in the team, the relationship of the teacher and the team with them. The combination of these features and provides corrective action.
